I’m Mike and I have been a professional cook for more than 20 years. Originally finding my way into the kitchens of Los Angeles but felt a calling to live in the tropics and found my way to Costa Rica. What was originally intended to be a short time ended up being more than 15 years. Now I call the Lugano area of Switzerland home, where I predominantly cater vegetarian meals for yoga retreats. Many experiences and countless hours in various kitchens has developed a knowledge of techniques and ingredients that I am very excited to share with you.

About this project


This platform is a passion project of mine that has been a long time in the making. The initial idea to write a cookbook went through a transformation into, what I believe is, a much more user-friendly tool of sharing knowledge and methods of cookery.


My work in catering for Casa Corvo holiday apartments and retreat center


During the Ticino touristic season (March to November) I cater delicious vegetarian or vegan brunches and dinners for Yoga groups in our venues, Casa Corvo and Casa Volpe. Using seasonal and organic ingredients from the Malcantone Valley I create colorful, vibrant, wholesome and tasty meals. Cooking for the groups is extremely rewarding for me and keeps my curiosity alive and is deeply inspiring.
